Most projects begin with a definition of the product's features and then go through the entire cycle until the product is ready for series production. This cycle consists of several phases.

Project management at Confed
In daily practice, we work with a multidisciplinary team of 8 developers simultaneously on multiple projects of varying composition. In order to control the project in terms of content, time and costs while executing the development projects, Confed uses EasyRedmine; a project management package.The project is divided into a work-breakdown-structure and a hierarchical structure. In this hierarchical structure, concrete partial results/products of a project are categorized, with the workload distributed. Hours spent are also recorded per activity. We use issue-tracking to record and follow through/track the handling of design choices, test results and improvement items. To manage the design, we use a version control system for the entire design (software, hardware and possibly mechanics), where versions and issues are traceable.
