Confed Amersfoort

Confed has three branches, each with its own functionality and specializations. The three branches are roughly equal in terms of staff size. Together the Confed team consists of about 400 enthusiastic employees. Each employee stands for the quality of his or her work, and together they are proud of the products and services we provide to our customers every day.

PCB manufacturing and module construction

At our facility in Amersfoort, the PCB production is located and module assembly activities are carried out. The production department for PCB assembly includes two SMD lines, wave soldering machines and manual stations for component placement and soldering. The testing department has all necessary testing methods. The logistics department is equipped for ESD safe packaging, cleanroom packaging if desired. From Amersfoort, the module building department takes care of the assembly of electrotechnical products such as switch boxes, parking terminals, milking robot control cabinets and traffic control systems. Complex products supplied in a wide range of variations. With decouplings in the routings and parts lists, a distinction can be made here between basic elements and finished products. Thus, each part can be produced in the optimal series size. This is beneficial for the overall cost price of the product.

Engineering and protoshop

The engineering department and the protoshop are also located in Amersfoort. This has the advantage that they can work closely with the other departments and thus benefit from smooth and efficient cooperation between the various parties.

Headquarters

Confed Amersfoort is the headquarters of the Confed group. In addition to PCB production, the module building department, the engineering department and the protoshop, the general departments are also housed here:
