What is software implementation?
By the implementation of software in an electrical device, we mean the actual coding of the software to make it function.
Depending on the project, we use the programming language that best fits the needs of the project. In order to develop the code as efficiently and correctly as possible, we use different tools.
We use a version control system (SVN/GIT) and an automated build and test environment (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery).
Version control system (VCS)
A version control system is a computer program that manages changes to documents, programs or other information kept in computer files. In a VSC, different changes can be made to the same files by multiple people.
Changes are usually identified by a code; the revision number or revision level.
SVN
SVN, also known as Apache Subversion, is a popular version control system.
SVN helps to keep track of changes made to your websites and applications in an orderly manner in a so-called SVN repository (repo). Errors can be easily detected and fixed.
GIT
Git is a freely distributed version control system. It is also called a software source code management project. The emphasis with this system is on speed.
Continuous Integration
In software engineering, continuous integration is the practice where the working copies of all developers are merged into a shared mainline several times a day.
Continuous Delivery
Continuous delivery is a software development method that aims to get ideas into production as quickly and efficiently as possible. This allows business assumptions to be validated quickly with the customer in order to shape a product in a short-cycle manner.
